Informational Booklet – Charlie’s Acres Farm Animal Sanctuary

In 2019, as Charlie’s Acres prepared to welcome visitors for the first time, I created the sanctuary’s inaugural informational booklet. At that time, the sanctuary was still in its early stages, with its primary program being a volunteer initiative. The booklet aimed to provide an engaging introduction to Charlie’s Acres, its mission, the rescued animal residents, and the importance of plant-based eating.

This booklet was designed to educate visitors about the sanctuary’s purpose, inspire donations, and offer practical tips for transitioning to a plant-based lifestyle. It also served as a key outreach tool, equipping coordinators to share Charlie’s Acres’ mission within the community. By addressing both the emotional and practical aspects of animal rescue and plant-based living, the booklet set the tone for Charlie’s Acres’ growth as an educational and compassionate organization.

By 2024, Charlie’s Acres had grown significantly, offering impactful education programs, unique tour experiences, and corporate team-building events, while securing larger donors and corporate sponsors. The sanctuary’s influence extended to the community through their support for extreme weather evacuees and was further validated by feedback and statistics showcasing the tangible impact of its programs.

To reflect this growth, I designed an updated informational booklet and a complementary rack card. The rack card, handed out to every visitor, provided quick, actionable steps for supporting the sanctuary, while the booklet offered a more in-depth resource tailored to potential donors, partners, and sponsors. Together, these materials enhanced visitor engagement, inspired support, and solidified Charlie’s Acres’ role as a leader in farm animal rescue and education.
